Brandon Bay at low tide, seen from Faha (An Fhaithche), Cloghane, County Kerry, Ireland. In the background the peaks of the Dingle Peninsula, with Brandon Mountain (952 m) on the left.
At this spot (not visible in the photo) lies a stone with the text "An Fhaithche / Faha", an Irish name meaning "the grassy field" or "the village square". This photo was taken of a small patch of grass jutting out into Brandon Bay, close to the stone. The village of Faha is therefore literally named after that small piece of grassland that juts out into the bay.
