Message from Randy
These galleries of my digital photography reflect a number of my artistic pursuits, as I work in many media. I am a graphic artist by trade, but also enjoy shooting, editing, and manipulating digital images, as well as getting my hands dirty with charcoal and paper. I also shoot video professionally.
In case it's not obvious, I really like wienerdogs (dachshunds). Johnny the delinquent dachshund has been my buddy and a willing model since I adopted him 14 years ago. He's now 16, blind, and looks kind of like a zombie dog, but he still enjoys the simple things in life; lazing about in the sun, tracking cats by scent, chewing rawhide bones, and of course eating people food.
I've always been enamoured with airplanes (never really did grow up in that respect), so I tend to hit the So Cal air shows every so often.
The Witches gallery reflects my interest in designing and building haunted houses. The work of a number of haunt artists (including my own) is shown in my photos.
My "Working" gallery is a series of shots from a 2008 48 Hour Film Project in which I participated as an actor (for a change). The production, "Just a Man" was a product of team Amalgamated Grommets and won seven awards, including Best Film, in the 2008 San Diego competition.
I also really enjoy working with energetic and creative models. Most of my model work to date has been exterior fashion-type shoots. But I've recently started shooting interiors, which allows me to work more creatively with lighting.
