Private Dreams This
gallery is a photo essay that explores the inherent sensuality of women
and couples. The essay is called "Private Dreams" (I don't really know
why, it just popped into my head when I had to come up with a name.) The
models are all friends or acquaintances who have graciously given of
their time so that I could make these images. In appreciation for their
time, I always give them a copy of a music/CD slide show of
their
images from the photo shoot. They seem to enjoy that very much.
I
started this project as an exercise to resume a photography hobby that
I started forty years ago when I was just beginning college. After
college, while raising a family, my photography tapered off to just
occasional darkroom work now and then as time allowed. It was all 35mm
B&W film work then. A few years ago, with the children grown
and
gone, I decided to experiment with digital. I liked it and after
playing around with it for a year or so I decided to rekindle my
previous enthusiasm for photography after a twenty year hiatus. This
Private Dreams essay has become a self-directed study project to
redevelop old skills and find new ones.
