Hi Bill!

I am a public radio producer, and we're running a story about the world's largest treehouse tomorrow on the NPR station in Los Angeles (KCRW) and globally on the UnFictional podcast. We'd like to post a picture of Horace Burgess, who built the treehouse, along with our story and noticed you have a nice one on your site. PBase won't let me post a link to the picture, but it's www dot pbase dot com /nc_bill/image/136338478.

Would it be possible for us to post this picture on the KCRW website along with the story, if we credited you (in whatever way you prefer, your call completely)? It's such a nice picture, we'd love to share it with our listeners and point them to you / your portfolio!

Unfortunately, the story runs tomorrow, so we're trying to nail this down today (May 1, 2014). If you could email me to let me know your thoughts, that would be amazing: karen@karenbduffin.com.

Thank you!
- Karen

Bill, I am looking at picking up a 300mm lens and read about your Minolta 300mm f/4.5. I was wondering if you had an thoughts on the lens now that you have had it a while. Thanks, Matt

Hello Bill
I'm preparing the publication of a school book for 5th graders in Denmark. It's called Boost. It's a book for learning how to speak English. One of the chapters is called Home Sweet Home and we have a small text about the tree house in Tennessee. I would like to use your photo called "REVEREND HORACE BURGESS, TREE HOUSE CHURCH BUILDER" in all print runs and editions of this book. I think it's a great photo. You will of course be credited in the credit list and receive a copy of the book. Please reply by emailing me at gumer@gyldendal.dk. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best

Hi Bill, Thanks so much for leaving the nice comment on the picture of my granddaughter, Kylie. I so enjoy taking pictures of her. Also, I have never visited your galleries until now, you have quality work going on here. I will be back! Thanks again..

Hi Bill. I check back every now and then to see your latest photos. I especially like the ones you take in the mountains surrounding your home. Now that you've had your Lumix DMZ-ZS3 for a while, how do you think it stacks up against the LX3? Amazon reduced the price of the ZS3 to $244.99 and I am considering one. I like the idea of a 12X zoom and also the HD quality video.
Thanks Marie

I very much enjoyed your images!

Hi Bill! Your photos taken with the Lumix LX3 are great. I have one ordered from Dell, but I'm not sure it will come to pass (they are out of stock everywhere except for some questionable dealers that are selling them for $700). I noticed in your self portrait that you have the optional optical viewfinder. Do you really feel it is worth the extra $230 (on Amazon) for this piece of equipment?

Thanks, Marie B

I really enjoyed browsing your galley of pics taken with the Lumix LX3. I recently got one as well as a backup to my dslr, a Nikon D90. Now I find that I instinctively grab the LX3 instead of the Nikon D90 when I want to take some shots!

I have been looking out for an external flash for the LX3. Do you have any suggestions for a reasonably priced unit that is compatible with the LX3's metering?

Many thanks.

Just got an Lx3 to go with my Nikon D1x and D300 Kit and love it even though I haven't really gotten it out and shot much. I'm a self taught "pro" freelancer and really have to play with things. I think I have found the travel camera I have been looking for with out paying 5 grand for a Leica M8.(?) Small, wide angle, Leica glass, cool case (if I can ever get one!) and some neat accessories.

Do you know if you can use the Nikon Coolpix 990/995 converter wide angle lens with the Lx3 tube? Also, id the viewfinder something to get or is it just "cool" lookin'?

Thx

GH

Hey Bill:

I am looking for Leslie (LM). He was our guide when we were down in Gulfport in Sept, 2005... is there a way you could contact him and pass my email address onto him?

Thank you so much:

Hi Bill, thanks for the info on the Canon A700. I found it vey useful and I love the pictures you have taken with the camera. I just purchased the A700 and it is a great camera. I just have one gripe regarding the camera. When I take pictures and I view them on the LCD screen they seem brighter than when I transfer them to the computer. Is this normal? The reason is that sometimes when I take pictures at night or in dark settings they seem fine on the LCD screen, but when I transfer them onto the computer you can hardly see them. So in a way I find the LCD screen to be somewhat deceiving. If you can e-mail me and let me know if this is normal on the A700 I would appreciate it. Again I love all the pictures you have taken and thanks for all the info.

Thanks Bill,

I have just bought a Canon A700, your pictures convince me I have bought the right camera! My photography skills may not be up to yours, and I will probably be using the auto function more than manual, but the images have inspired me to learn!!

Just a suggestion...change the name of the Sweetwater Hills holiday party to remove Sweetwater Hills from it. I try to keep our place a little anonymous.
