Hi Michael: You seem to be pretty expert with Volvo IRS Nivomat conversions. I would like to communicate with you on this.

Mike,
I found your photo's while searching for information for AstralAutoHersteller (aftermarket company making e-code lights for Volvo 240's). I saw the e-codes of you blue 245 first on Turbo Bricks, then here on PBase.
I was wondering if the lights you installed on your vehicle were purchased from FCP Groton, which I understand gets them from a manufacturer called DJ Auto?
Or
Did you get them via an online/eBay source like "Swedish Auto Lamps" who claims they are manufactured from AstralAutoHersteller?
I've done plenty of digging and research, spoken with Daniel Stern about my swapout, etc...but unfortunately I can't IN PERSON anyone's 240 who's got lights from either source. Your pictures are good and if you're able to tell me the info on them I will at least have detail to SOME degree before I buy something with out seeing it first!
Thank you in advance!

Took me forever to notice the comment. Sorry.
I sent an email. No need to strip all the paint, but fine sand isn't too hard on steel.

Hey Mike

any pointers to someone who wants to repaint a bicycle frame and has never done so before? what do you strip the old paint job with? it is a steel MTB frame which i intend to convert to a single speed by cutting off the vert dropouts and adding track ends...i have access to a sandblasting unit, but was told this would ultimately weaken the steel frame...true? any feedback would help..

Mike, thanks for stopping by my gallery and giving my spider a name. This particular one was rather large. Some of the others I had seen this year were thin in the midsection. Love your cat photos!
