The Travelers Tankard is one of the premier curling events in Ontario. This year, Smiths Falls Memorial Community Centre hosted the eleven teams competing to represent Ontario in the National Brier. I was able to attend the last Page playoff game (quarter final) in which Team Cochrane played Team Walker, with Cochrane winning 7 to 4.

Rather than load myself down with cameras and lenses, for convenience and out of curiosity to see how it would handle an indoor event, I took only my Fuji HS50 superzoom to photograph the game and considering the limitations of small sensors, the HS50 did well. Its 24-1,000mm lens covered every situation.
