I am a pro photographer living in Carlsbad, California. I first began shooting at the age of twelve, and by the age of sixteen, I was shooting professionaly, mostly weddings. And winning misc. photography contests. I had the extreme good fortune to spend a week in Yosemite with Ansel Adams (who was and still is my hero) when he was still conducting classes in the early 1980's. I went on to become a staff photographer for the US Army's 1st Infantry Division (FWD) in Goeppingen, Germany.
Now I focus on fine art photography, nudes, and portraiture in black and white. I also still do a great amount of landscape photography. My income though comes from model portfolio development, content work, headshots, and misc. event and red carpet assignments, and film/music premiers.
I shoot with 3 - Nikon D-200's (awesome camera), various Nikkor lenses, and use a 4x5 camera from time to time. Studio is equiped with Calumet stobes (TravelLite 750's) with misc. soft boxes, panels, disk's, and I use Pocket Wizards for triggering. Digital darkroom consists of a PC as well as a Mac, 21" lcd monitors, and "Spyder" for calibration. For image editing, I use Photoshop CS2 and Photoshop 7.
