Hello Mr. Bowden, My name is Isaac Taylor-Wise. I am an old friend of Daniel Trilli and his family. Today he would have been 38 years old. I spoke with his father today and told me about you. I still have a bit of Daniel's ashes that I wanted to get combined into glass marbles possibly and I thought you might be interested in combining them together. The rest of his ashes I will be taking to one of his favorite areas here in New Mexico the Gila Hot Springs. Hi - My Mom recently passed and has an extensive collection of beautiful marbles. Many of them are signed pieces and some are from the 1950's. Greetings, I just started looking around your site, but when I saw "guestbook" at the top I had to jump up there and say, *WOW* All artists have that "eye" for the art that they create. Glass artists, in my opinion, must have a special "eye". Some types of artists can make quick fixes... glass artists don't have such a luxury when the torch is hot. Thanks For The Eye Candy! James

Brian Im a 15 year veteran at Cisco. If you hadnt heard the Ro Purser program had been discontinued. I just received three of these fantastic marbles, most likely some of the last; and any previous pictures, VODs, or write ups did not do the marbles and the presentation justice. They are just stunning. I have the white/blue swirl, a red with white stars, and a green with I lavender and white spiral. Wouldnt mind having a few more.

Brian Off and on, I have been searching for Ro Purser these past 30 years. Now I find you as a possible connection. I'm hoping that this is the same Ro Purser that I met at College of the Redwoods back in the late '70s. He was my mentor in the foundry at the college, and was making ends meet by selling glass balls for fishing nets. I lost track of him when he left the Eureka Ca. area to move further north. Brian, I've been searching the internet for marbles, paperweights, and/or vases that were made by my dad Robert James Livezey of Stardust Glass Studio. I found three marbles in your gallery. He passed away in June of last year and I only have a couple of things that he has made. I'm trying to find anyone that may be willing to sell me a few of his things and if not, may be able and willing to take some nice high resolution photos for me to put into a scrapbook for myself and my ten year old son. Hi Brian, What an incredible collection. I spent quite a long time enjoying it. I'm surprised you don't have the piece by Jim D'Onofrio of the boy shooting marbles, with his dog by his side. I would like to identify 2 of mine. I saw similar pieces in your collection. The first marble is similar to those on the bottom shelf to the far left of 'Big Bowl of Candy!!'. I'll call them spirals. In mine, on the other side, is a blue flower with bubbles on it. It is 1 1/4" & is signed E ' X C[?] - very hard to read, even with good light & a magnifying glass. The second is a dark, colorful spiral very similar to yours on 'top shelf'. Yours are to the right of the middle, in graduated sizes. The signature on it looks like an E with something following it, then something else underneath - also hard to read. It's 1 1/2". Any help is appreciated. Hi Brian, First I have to compliment you on your beautiful work. It is truly magnificent. I actually have this on-line gallery on a reminder schedule to check back with periodically. I'm interested in buying my daughter one of your pieces as she loves and collects regular perfume bottles. To have one of your pieces would surely flip her out. She is a design major at NC State University in North Carolina and I wanted to get your piece "Passionate Perfume" for her 21st birthday. I checked back not knowing if you ever semi-duplicated pieces. The reason I like that piece for her its tall, thin lines and narrow neck, in addition to the deep "plunger?" (proper term?). If you have any other pieces of similar lines I'd be quite interested. Please e-mail me below with where I can see it and get the details. Hi Guest - Good point about Loren Stump. I actually didn't say 'undisputed' in relation to the Juedemanns, I said 'arguably', meaning that I might have to argue my point, ha haa, as is the case. It would be hard to argue against Loren's Madonna murrine being the single greatest murrine ever created. However, I think if the Juedemanns ever took on a project of that magnitude and length of time, they could easily do something that spectacular. Their Madonna murrine is close. In terms of body of murrine work though, how does Loren compare? He just doesn't do as much murrine as the Juedemanns do. Also, they do different murrine styles/methods, so it's a bit hard to really compare them, and I should probably have said the J's are the world's best stringer murrine artists. In that category, there are few competitors, the DeiRossi's, who I think the J's have surpassed, and Zach Jorgenson, who simply isn't there yet and does mostly the torch method murrine himself, like Loren. Don't get me wrong, I think Loren is one of the world's greatest glass artists, no doubt, but when it comes to murrine only and overall body of work with that, I'd still say the J's have it. Nice collection, but, I'd have to disagree with your comment about the Juedemann's being the undisputed best murrine artists. They are good, use interesting subjects, but they have a way to go before they approach the level of Loren Stump's work.
