Message from Bernd Koenemann
A Scientist by education and an engineer by profession, I am newly retired and have time on my hand. During the summer I stumbled across PBase and was immediately fascinated by the diversity and artistic possibilities of digital photography. So, I took a survey of my growing pile of digital image files and began to play around with them. My photographic skills leave a lot to be desired and many images indeed needed a lot of playing around. Nevertheless, the pile of images on my hard drive began to grow even more as I now had the originals and sometimes several copies of derivatives.
Before too long, I decided to follow the lead of the many PBase artists and share the results of my "work". It takes time (and sometimes courage) to develop visual skills and to find personal expressive paths to a decent portfolio.
Until, if ever, I reach that goal it is fair to say that quantity probably rules over quality. I sincerely appreciate all the visitors to my galleries who are willing to accompany me on the journey.
